Lw3 / The Vault – Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 5th 2025

At Lw3, we take privacy seriously, mostly because we value trust, and partly because we’ve all seen what happens when people don’t. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use The Vault (our networking platform), attend our events, or interact with us online.

If you’re reading this, you care about where your data goes, good. So do we.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to make your experience better, not creepier. Here’s what that includes:

a. Information You Provide:

  • Your name, company, title, and contact details when you sign up or RSVP.
  • Profile info (bio, photo, interests, etc.) that you choose to share.
  • Messages or posts you write on The Vault.
  • Event feedback or survey responses.

b. Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Basic usage data (logins, clicks, and interactions within The Vault).
  • Device and browser info (so we can make things load faster, not so we can stalk your laptop).
  • Event attendance or participation history (to tailor invites and improve experiences).

c. Information from Third Parties:

  • If someone refers you, we may receive limited contact info from them.
  • We may also use publicly available professional data (e.g., LinkedIn) to verify identities and maintain community quality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to keep The Vault running smoothly and make it worth your time.

Specifically, we may:

  • Personalize your experience and event recommendations.
  • Facilitate introductions and networking opportunities.
  • Communicate about events, updates, and new features.
  • Improve our platform, content, and community experience.
  • Maintain safety, verify authenticity, and prevent fraud.

We will never sell your personal data, that’s not our business model, and it never will be.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only when necessary, and always responsibly:

  • With other members: When your visibility settings allow, limited profile details (like name, role, and company) may be visible to others in The Vault to encourage authentic networking (when your settings are toggled as visible).
  • When legally required: If a regulator, court, or legal process compels it (we’re still not snitches, but we do follow the law).

Otherwise, your data stays locked in The Vault.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as it’s needed to serve you, fulfill legitimate business purposes, or comply with legal obligations.

If you delete your account or request removal, we’ll erase your data (except where retention is required by law or accounting rules).

5. Cookies and Tracking

Yes, we use cookies.

They help us remember your preferences, improve performance, and analyze traffic.

You can adjust cookie settings in your browser anytime. Just know that disabling them might affect how The Vault functions.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.

That said, no system is completely hack-proof, if someone’s determined enough to break into the Pentagon, they can probably get into anything.

But we take every reasonable step to keep your information safe and secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of marketing emails or communications.
  • Request a copy of your data.

Just email us at vault@lw3.io, we’ll handle it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect improvements, feedback, or evolving legal standards. When we do, we’ll post the updated version here and adjust the “Last Updated”date above.

If we make major changes, we’ll give you a heads-up before they take effect.
